Challenges

When the firm originally approached OMR, it wasn’t well versed in Google Ads. They had been handling a pay-per-click advertising account independently for a few months. They had put up a few low-cost ad campaigns and had a few conversions, but their efforts and methods were not yielding the desired results due to a lack of experience and knowledge about Google Ads.

Due to high competition in the online gaming vouchers’ e-commerce websites, the main search terms for Adwords were not working effectively for the customer. Even if the ad spend budget was sufficient, low conversion rates made it challenging for the client to continue with paid marketing. Additionally, ad click-through rates were below average, resulting in minimal conversions and revenues.

Solutions

The first step in increasing conversion rates for the customer while staying within their budget was to identify key terms with low CPC (cost per click) yet high returns. To get a lower CPC, we also increased the click-through rates (CTR), displayed ads to the audience that had an interest in them, and used relevant keywords.

We created various ad categories, such as retail and search ads, to target different sorts of audiences across India. Search advertisements drew those who looked for the keywords featured in the ads, whereas shopping ads attracted people who were ready to buy the product.

We were able to provide remarkable results for our client by using the proper key words and analysing regional data related to game voucher searches.

As the graph illustrates, the ads earned over 2,700 clicks in just two months for a total cost of less than 20,000 rupees. Out of those clicks, the ads received almost 500 conversions, which increased the website’s sales.

Additionally, the conversion and click rates were strikingly similar (as shown in the graph in blue and red lines). This lowered the cost per click on advertisements, resulting in increased business growth on a relatively small budget.
