Now You Can Hide Your Phone Number In Google My Business And Google Local

Now, businesses will be able to hide their phone numbers on Google Search’s local results and Google Maps, as Google is all set to add a setting to Google My Business. Google help document, which is an updated feature of Google, says that businesses can now hide the phone number on their Business Profile.

Stefan Somborae was the first one to spot this a new feature of Google and post on Twitter how it works in the new Google editor, the direct edit feature, of toggling your phone number to hide in your local Google business profile

According to Stefan Somborae, the change shows up in the support documentation, which provides a specific set of instructions and guidelines to the New Merchant Experience. (for example, direct edit). It doesn’t appear to be available inside the GMB dashboard.

Many companies, as well as businesses, will choose to use this feature, including companies like Google who do not want people to call them.
